Two-room flat → two-storey house. And in between, a baby, a mortgage, nothing major :).
The brief for the professional organisers was clear: pack up a family's life so it could be moved sensibly and put back together again. Deadline in two weeks. Ensology, done!
The whole family sorted, the two of us set up the system. Things went into boxes according to their future rooms in the house, everything labelled and documented so that whatever was needed could be found fast.
The key was a two-week "survival kit": the bare minimum that stayed out. Everything else went into boxes by season and by room, ready to wait in a corner of the living room for the movers.
In the meantime we consulted on the future interior online: moodboards, furniture choices, a feel for their style. The house was empty and needed a dose of Ensiatic style: ethnically diverse, a little eclectic, very personal.
And among the boxes came a moment nobody had planned: the baby made use of the space and took its first steps.
Some projects aren't just about order.
