Evka K.: A workspace stitched from strawberries

Some rooms aren't cluttered with things. They're cluttered with time. Some rooms don't fill up in a day. Nor in a month. This version of the "workspace" came about in layers, and uncovering them brought a moment of history.
Closing the bricks-and-mortar shop brought temporary storage. A break-up brought things that belong to no one, but someone has to decide about them. New relationships, in turn, brought the need for an occasional guest room. And those two vacuum cleaners are simply there because at some point it stopped mattering.
Evka is a creative person. Not the type to be scared of a problem. More the type to look at it and say: Right then, what's up with you?
And so we began to clear out, sort, put away and piece together a new meaning for the room. Without a single new organiser. ZERO spent on boxes. This time the investment wasn't in materials but in time.
During the project we also did things you won't normally find in a professional organiser's job description. For example, we measured
a Buddha head for sale. We hadn't done that before and probably won't again. Although in our line of work you stop making bold predictions.
The strawberry-pink boxes found their place, and labelling with our little helper Mila gave them their unique marks (in symbols, to make it fancy). And when it was time to leave, we hung up a painting by Dominika Žáková. Because some things simply don't get left leaning against a wall (whether you're a professional organiser or a friend). The room finally got its identity.
Now it really is a workspace.
You can issue an invoice in it, sleep over occasionally, make friendship bracelets and Christmas decorations, and munch on strawberries.
