Project vibe:"In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun." (Mary Poppins, 1964)
We have projects, children, dogs, elderly parents, and we're often on the road. File every piece of paper the moment it arrives? Unrealistic. So we set up a system that serves us, not the other way round.
When there's no way to shut documents away in a cupboard at home, we look for solutions that turn a weak spot into a strong one. See how organising a desk can be both practical and easy on the eye?
Documents are neatly divided into sections: school, nursery, passports, tax returns. Flat boxes hold the cables and discs we really don't need to look at, and a hand-painted box from mum, full of craft supplies, adds a gentle dose of sentiment to the concept.
Even in this administrative jungle there's room for wordplay and a pinch of our own particular humour.
Question: Can you keep your paperwork in order (even when life isn't entirely under control) and still keep perfectionism at arm's length?
Answer: You can. The system holds the structure, and humour holds us. Together it works surprisingly well. (The chaos doesn't disappear, it just stops being in charge.)
